Christian Truth Event

Sunday afternoons at 3:00pm

An initiative of our Church's Evangelism Team, these community events are designed to steep us in the Biblical Truths which are becoming unknown in the increasingly secular world in which we live. We have had wonderful Christians of all faith backgrounds join us for learning and discussion of the challenges of living as a disciple of Christ in today's world. The devil is working overtime to sow His lies. We gather to celebrate God's Truth.

Each presentation is followed by a free, fresh-cooked meal by Chef Maggie.

It is perhaps the most effective tool the enemy has— to young people of marriageable age,

the devil says, “if you love someone and aren’t ready to get
married yet... why wait?” “Indeed,” we say, “why wait? Let’s move in together for now and see how it goes.”

Or, increasingly, we don’t even bother moving in together,
but we begin sleeping together because, after all, “why wait?”

But what is the danger of discounting God’s Word about our sexual lives? What
is the danger of discounting God’s blessings of marriage and His command for a man
to “leave his father and mother and be united to his wife [so that they]  become one
flesh” (Genesis 2:24).

The danger, as the enemy well knows, is that once we open the Pandora’s box
of disregarding SOME of God’s Word, we are setting ourselves on a path towards
disregarding ALL of God’s Word, toward losing our faith, and thus losing our life. On
top of that, of course, is the very real data showing that beginning the sexual aspect
of marriage before getting married is just about the worst thing a couple can do for
their relationship.

This is our topic for April. Come join us.
